Do look to the name of the company (legal and consultants)!!!!!. The took the rent and deposit from the tenant on signing the contract and hold the rent for 3 months. till now (since nov 2012) I tried to get the deposit from them as the tenant asked to leave the property.

What a joke of a company. I bought a student house and started advertising to fill it. Had a call from paragon saying they had 4 girls to move in. After 5 weeks of continual chasing for contracts I was told time and time again everything was fine and legally all taken care of....I had nothing to worry about. The day of the move and the girls did not turn up and decided they were not moving in. I had stopped advertising during a prime time based on Paragons information. Once problems occurred I had zero communication from the 'friendly' estate agent who suddenly disappeared off the face of the planet. After promising to pay me the minimum of the deposits they have now back tracked and are making me take legal action. They have cost me hundreds and hundreds of pounds, there customer service has been disgusting and their attitude in resolving the situation even worse. This company claim to also be legal experts ... what a complete joke. My advice to anybody thinking of using them...stay away at all cost!! When things go wrong you wont a company who will look after you...that's not these guys ... be warned!

Beware landlords: Paragon Properties and Legal Consultants Ltd have no real address where they can be physically contacted! So far on their website (Birmingham's contact details are listed twice!!) They have taken £600 from my tenant and not issued a deposit reference or contact details. Over three months ago and will not talk to him. Their staff are rude and aggressive. They are not returning the deposit to my tenant and instead have a new excuse each time they are contacted.

LANDLORDS: STAY AWAY Paragon Property and legal consulatancy will inform your potential tenant to pay rent and deposit to them without informing you. They also dont lodge that deposit with a tenancy protection agency. Their staff are rude and aggressive. Needless to say they are being investigated for fraud. NONE OF THEIR OFFICES ACTUALLY EXIST!!!!!!

The application process was not made clear and details were constantly changed which caused us to lose confidence in the landlord and agent. Through superior legal knowledge and awful moral standards we were not refunded our application fees (the most expensive out of the many agents I have investigated), despite the landlord changing our agreement, which were taken for "holding" the property for less than 48 hours. Would not recommend.
