At Explore Learning, our tutors will get to know your child as an individual. Whether they are finding school tricky or top of the class, we will create a learning plan designed to help them to gain confidence, enthusiasm and new skills.
The process of getting to know your child starts from the very first time we meet you at your free trial session. This is an opportunity for us to discuss your child's requirements in depth, and for you to see the tuition centre in action.
In 2011, Explore Learning commissioned an efficacy study by the University of Reading in order to provide independent proof of the benefits of Explore membership.
The study ran from October 2011 to July 2012, and tested our members' progress in maths and English compared to a control group of children who did not attend Explore. 1,539 Explore members were independently tested in maths and English at the beginning and end of the study, and 1,252 Explore parents provided feedback on their children's progress. We are delighted with the results and wanted to share the main findings with you here.
All Explore Learning centres work closely with local primary and secondary schools in their communities. Explore tutors are actively involved in school life and support schools by holding regular free literacy and numeracy events throughout the school year. Many schools also use their Pupil Premium allocation to fund Explore Learning membership for their pupils.
Our aim is to inspire pupils to feel enthusiastic and confident about maths and English, whilst supporting local schools with their targets.
This centre employs young girls with no teaching experience, their requirements are that the tutor has a B grade in GCSE maths and English, no A levels or degree needed!! Very poor tuition they use constant computer programs, don't expect your child's writing or maths presentation to improve because they won't practise it here. I have removed my child and paid a subscription to a similar program to what they use, for a fraction of the price. It costs 27.00 per week for 2 lessons, in a group of 6, they also want payment for the whole month in advance!!!! Avoid this centre, they only want your money.
