  I have been delighted with the exceptional work that Sue has done on my family tree, which has been extremely thorough, professional and well-presented. She has managed to resolve a long-standing mystery and her enthusiasm for local and family history is highly infectious. In all, a highly recommended researcher, who I would recommend to anybody interested in finding out more about their own history.

  I am so pleased to have come across Practical Family Historian. I had a problem with the work I was doing on my own family tree - one email to Sue Wood and she had the answer ! She is truly brilliant. I continue to do my own genealogy research but when I hit a brick wall Sue always sorts it. Scholarship, professionalism, and efficiency are the hallmarks of her work, and all at a very reasonable cost. I cannot recommend her services too highly.

  Extremely friendly and thorough genealogist who gives 100% all of the time. Using this company gave me a very personal experience, frequently including local history details to bring the ancestors to life. Would highly recommend to all, especially inexperienced family historians since the company has all censuses at their disposal.
