• All came assembled!!

  I ordered £1800 worth of rustic bedroom furniture for my barn converted home, it came within 3 days (all already assembled surprisingly!) and the delivery guys carried it up our stairs very professionally (yes we have stairs in our barn!). The company use their own delivery guys, so there was no rushing or throwing it on my front doorstep and running away like Parcelforce do. We actually managed to show the polite delivery guys around the new home, and spent at least 30 minutes chatting and sharing a coffee with them. Such a nice group of guys, from Emma in the office to the drivers and warehouse manager Mark. I will ONLY ever use this company for my furniture needs and recommended my partner's property development firm to do the same, who are now using them often I'm told. You will not be disappointed I'm sure.

• Sloooooow delivery!! But amazing dining table...

  I placed my order on expecting delivery within 14 days. However on the 7th day, I received a phone call saying the table was delayed by approximately 3 days further. So I had to wait in total 16 days for my dining table and chairs. BUT i must say I will be recommending the company because the furniture is such good quality.

• Dreadful Customer Service

  I ordered bedroom furniture from this company based on best price. Bad decision. My experience of them has been terrible. The items were not delivered within 7 days (I paid extra for this service). I reported a problem with a chest of drawers at the end of November and I AM STILL awaiting a replacement delivery. Frustratingly, the only way you can contact them is by e-mail. The e-mails I have received are sporadic, inaccurate and full of empty promises. I urge you not to use this company.

• They take your money promptly, but do not refund or deliver

  I would not recommend this company - even to my worst enemy! I ordered some furniture back on 2nd November & expected a 2 week delivery. I was then told that it would take up to 4 weeks delivery. When I chased up my order a few weeks later I was told that the item of furniture had not been included on the shipment from Asia & there would be a longer wait, or I could have a similar item - which was not suitable. I decided that it was getting too close to Christmas to be waiting any longer, I wanted a full refund so I could buy elsewhere. At this point the relatively prompt & regular emails I was receiving stopped. I was unable to contact anyone by phone (The numbers are all invalid) & my emails went unanswered. I finally got a response by email where I was told refunds take up to 10 working days (working for a Bank I know this is not true) but was prepared to wait. 10 working days later I received no refund so I emailed once more - where I received no reply. I have emailed once more, but still no reply. I am now trying to claim the £300 back from my credit card company. Im all for giving a company the benefit of the doubt, but this is not acceptable & I would not recommend using them . I thought I had got a good bargain from this site as the same item was nearly £100 more on other sites, but this is a definitely a company to be avoided at all costs.

  THERES NOWHERE TO LEAVE A REVIEW FOR THEMODERNHOME.CO.UK. I ORDERED YESTERDAY AT 8PM AND RECEIVED DINING SET TODAY AT 10AM! DONT KNOW HOW THEY DID SUCH A FAST TURNAROUND. WICKED.

• Review of HDN12

  I purchased the HDN12 from modern home and it really slotted together so well. I've bought from Ikea and Argos in the past and it's a bleeding nightmare... but I was pleasantly surprised how accurate the instructions were and the quality of the parts from this company. Very very highly recommend i think.
