I can fix many Broadband problems by tidying up telephone wiring and removing extension leads. When your house telephone wiring was just supporting telephones it was fairly tolerant and perhaps the only problem you would get was crackle on on the line. Now however your wiring is trying to support not just your telephones but also your computers and so is much less forgiving.
