paid for my ticket( april 2007) by phone using credit card. then got a penalty notice so sent back in dispute. never heard anymore until today then received bailiffs(Bristow and Sutor) letter. tried to dispute with council over phone, told to write in AGAIN. bailiffs most unhelpful as well. never had anything from court to say order had been issued, never had any other letter from council. now find out i have to get a statutory declaration signed by lawyer(£20) to appeal> ridiculous and unfair, dont use the carpark, in fact dont visit Birmingham, i wont be again..
this is not a typical city centre car park where you take a ticket and pay as you leave. This is just like a pay and display you would find on a street. Who carries £7 in change on them. not me so i tried to use the pay over the phone system three times, each time it told me to go to the website. so i pressed the assistance button who informed me that it was for out of hour emergencies only so no help. so i spoke to one of the wardens who let me explain my problem for 5 mins before tlling me that he was only a security guard and couldnt help. Also i am pregnant and there were absolutley no lifts. disgraceful!
