I have been using Simon since November 2007 and he has always given me an excellent service, honest opinion and helped me make right car decisions. After an accident he completely re built my car and gave a fantastic service. If you ever need a mechanic he is the guy to call.

Attempted use
After reading the previous reviews I was so relieved to have found a reliable mechanic in the area and especially as my car was unmoveable. Unfortunately after the initail diagosis, which to his credit he came around very promptly, he completely disappeared. The diagnosis was him checking one part of the car the thought it could be and when part of that seemed to be not quite right he decided that that must be the total of the problem. He said he was ordering the parts and that would take a couple of days and promised he'd call with an update as he knew I was desperate for the car by the Friday. No phone call materialised. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called him on Monday to see what was happening. After a very brief and sharp conversation saying the parts company hadnt delivered and he'd call me back in an hour to confirm what was happening then putting the phone down on me. I have never heard fom him since. So I basically wasted a week waiting for him and he completely messed me around. My car is usually an integral part of my working life and thank goodness this happens to have come when I have access to another vehicle or this would have been a very costly venture as I would have had to have rented a car due to his lasck of communication and incompetance. I now finally have a very lovely mechanic who is running FULL diagnositcs on my car - something this guy failed to do - by lnking into my cars computer he has discaovered that there are other problems, not what was guessed at before. So it is a VERY good job I didnt go with him as I would have still had a broken car even after paying for the work! You have been warned.

Excellent service from an honest car mechanic; fixed our car for a third of the price quoted by the garage. Will come out to your home or workplace to work on your car and will run round and sort out all the parts too.

honest and reliable
Oconnors garage came and repaired my daughters car. We had been quoted by several garages to repair and mot the car. Simon at oconnors garage came and gave us a quote and we accepted as it was a fraction of the price. I thought mobile mechanics were expensive and I have never used them before. I would use simon again and have recommended him to all my friends and family.
