  • 1 dirtyvenue. lukewarmfryup. bad service!!!!!

Having been a regular at Birminghams Glee club for many years i thought i would give this comedy chain a tryout. i went with four friends one of whom was pregnant. i pre-ordered food and drink online and asked for a seating close to the toilets when i booked. When we were shown to our table it was at the very front not suitable at all for someone who was pregnant. i asked if we could change no one came back for 10 mins i had to find the manager. a table at the back was eventualy found but we didn't recieve our pre-booked drinks for 40 mins and our pre-booked food took over an hour and a half to arrive. when it did it was lukewarm and very greasy. The venue is dirty (looks like a rundown student union). The comedy was ok but sound system is flaky. Quite a lot of leery hens and stags that were never told to shut up!its definatly cheaper than our very own glee club and it shows. i dont think any of us will be going back anytime soon.

  • 4 Great fun!

If you're looking for something different for your evening's entertainment, look no further. With fantastic comedians, and a reasonably priced menu, you're set for a fantastic night of laughs.Drinks prices are equally reasonable, and you can either have waiter service, or go to the bar.The comedians range from amateur to professional, and the first act is often relatively rubbish, but it's worth it for the 2nd and 3rd act. I have never laughed so much at a comedy night, as i did here. Excellent.

  • 5 A good, different night out

This is a fantastic option for an alternative night out; perhaps a staff do, or birthday celebration. It's a refreshing change for most, who wouldn't think of spending an evening watching relatively unknown comedians perform. However, it usually pays back in dividends. I've been a couple of times now, and both times the comedians have (largely) failed to disappoint. They seem to provide different styles of comedian to cater for for the audience's varying tastes - you will hear around 3 comedians regail their stories. It's worth the money, and you can complete the night strutting your stuff on the dancefloor as it opens up its club after the show. Fantastic night out; who could ask for more?

  • 5 A great night out

Have been to Jongleurs a couple of times now, both on the student nights (Thursdays - £1 entry, which gets you into the comedy club and then into Jongleurs club later on). Both times, the quality of the acts has been brilliant, really funny. The second time, we also ordered some food, which you can order from the waitress and pay them, and then they bring it. We had a tower thing, with lotsa different snacky things on, and it was really nice. The good thing about it is you can make it however big a night you want to - if you just want comedy you can leave after the show, but if you want a night out, you also get entry to the club.Only bit of advice - don't sit at the front.....!
