We look after a wide variety of customers with vehicle fleet sizes ranging from just a few vehicles to in excess of 5,000. Contract Hire is a key product for us, but we offer so much more and are dedicated to developing the best funding and fleet management solution for each individual customer. In addition to our funding options, we offer a range of fleet management services ? from servicing and maintenance to breakdown recovery, accident management to online vehicle quotations and ordering. One of our key objectives is to reduce the time and administrative hassle involved in managing, not only a fleet of vehicles, but equally importantly the drivers who depend on them. Our unparalleled understanding of the fleet industry has enabled us to develop innovative, market-leading products and services, including Whitechapel, the original and the most-successful Employee Car Ownership Scheme. In 2005, we launched, Fleet Sense, the industry?s first all-encompassing work-related road safety solution. To ensure that we can meet the growing international requirements of our customers , we are also the UK partner of Fleet Synergy International, providing access to fleet management experts in 37 countries across the globe. In the latest Sewells Contract Hire Survey, fleet managers ranked Lloyds TSB autolease first out of the top ten leasing companies for delivering an excellent customer experience. In this comprehensive survey, which questioned nearly 1,000 fleet operators, Lloyds TSB autolease was actually rated as the best overall supplier in five out of six of the key areas of service (quotation process, administration, communications, vehicle supply, support and return). Addressing work-related road safety with Fleet Sense? In 2005, we launched Fleet Sense? in order to tackle our customers? number one concern ? that of road safety and the Duty of Care they have for their employees on the road. Research by Nottingham Trent University had highlighted that despite it being every employer?s duty to ensure the health, safety and welfare of employees at work, 79% of companies had no risk strategy in place to deal with work-related road safety. On top of the growing numbers of cars on the road for work-related travel, rising accident rates, escalating ?bent metal? and business interruption costs, we saw that there was also an increasing threat of prosecution under current legislation, heightened by the proposed Road Safety Bill and Corporate Manslaughter Bill. We wanted to help our customers, and all organisations whose employees drive for work purposes, to meet their work-related road safety obligations. The thinking behind Fleet Sense was to offer a comprehensive, one stop solution that makes it easier, cheaper and quicker for companies to meet their health and safety obligations. Fleet Sense? offers: ? A thorough risk assessment of an organisation?s ?driving at work? policies via a fleet risk audit ? Online risk assessment for all drivers, including driver profile, risk assessment and collision history ? Electronic driver licence checking ? Online driver training and recommendations for additional training for high risk drivers ? Discounted in-car and workshop training offered by a multi-award-winning supplier ? Management information and policy templates Fleet Sense starts to have a positive impact immediately by raising all employees? awareness of their own personal risks on the road and targeting the high risk areas that need immediate attention. However, it is a sustainable programme, which helps companies to continually review organisational and individual driver risks. Developing tailored commercial vehicle solutions for our customers We are one of the leading providers of specialist commercial vehicles in the UK though our Specialist Commercial Vehicle Unit (SCVU), and I?m really excited about the increasingly complex and challenging commercial vehicle projects we are undertaking for some of our major customers. In April 2006, we launched our new OSCAR4 for E.ON, a specially developed Land Rover Defender, which, for the first time ever, broke the metric tonne payload barrier. Our team of engineers and commercial vehicle experts developed the revolutionary new vehicle so that it delivered a massive 25% increase in payload capacity to our customer, giving them greater flexibility in their operations. On top of this, OSCAR4 delivered a number of significant health and safety innovations and also provided further operational capability through additional storage space. The future for our Specialist Commercial Vehicle team is extremely bright as more organisations are coming to recognise and benefit from the expertise we have developed in this field. Our commitment to our customers? success We understand that operating a vehicle fleet can be a time-consuming business; that?s why we offer our customers a complete hassle-free solution, giving them the freedom to focus on the rest of their business. We have segmented our business to allow our teams to address the different business and fleet challenges that are faced by different organisations. For example, our dedicated Public Sector Division, which itself operates around 20,000 vehicles, has enormous experience in understanding public sector organisations and developing solutions to meet their specific needs. We have recently taken on a number of new customers in the health and education sectors who have been surprised and delighted by our service commitment and our ability to develop a unique fleet solution based entirely on our detailed understanding of their specific requirements. This has brought real benefits to these organisations in terms of cost savings and improved operational effectiveness. Likewise, Lloyds TSB autolease Direct is specifically geared towards addressing the needs and challenges of businesses with fleets of no more than 75 vehicles. Many companies managing smaller fleets tend to see the funding of each new vehicle as a separate transaction and negotiate aggressively on the price of the vehicle. They then spend a great amount of the companies precious time and energy keeping the vehicles on the road and trying to manage the needs (and egos!) of individual drivers.
