MIDWAY MINDLESS CROOKS How can this company and others like it be allowed to continue trading. I parked my car at Elite Management car park in Cecil Street, Birmingham. I returned after work to find me car had been towed!! appartently i had parked it incorrectly across 2 bays!!!! These bays are not clearly marked plus the drainage is so poor that the whole bay was under water as it had been raining, making the markings impossible to see!!! I have been charged £410 to get my car back and have been charged for a clamp and a tow.....how does that work!!! ????. I am disgusted by all the other stories that i have read and i just wish there was something that could be done to take these fucking idiots on!!!!!!!!

Having parked in the same place for the last few months it came as a shock to find my car had been clamped! They just looked and pointed at a notice on the fence informing me it went up last week! They wanted to charge £150 for the clamp release and £100 for the truck waiting to tow it away! My car wasn't parked dangerously or blocking anyone, In fact the land is just dead space big enough to fit one car. I couldn't pay the money so they towed it away. I was then informed it would cost me £390 to release or give them the log book and mot certificate so they could sell it on or risk the bailiffs! It was always going to cost more as witnesses saw the vehicle arrive before the clampers!

Midway parks daylight robbery

I have just arrived at work our small parking area was full so I stopped behind the parked cars and spent 30 seconds taking my bags into the office returning to my car immediately to find a clamp being fitted to my car. I was shocked as the notice on the gates to the car park state that deliveries are allowed. I pleaded with the man stating I had only paused for seconds while I took my bags into the office. He stated it was not a drop off point so I wondered what was the difference between a drop off point and delivery point? This is why I feel I have been robbed. He must have been parked up waiting for someone to stop and get out of their car as there would not have been time for him to arrive notice my car and park up and walk across to my car with the clamp. He charged me £150 and threatened to 'call the lorry' which would up the fine as I was trying to talk to him to get him to see reason. My colleagues phoned the police but they said it was not their place to get involved. The Midway parks man said he loves his job I would love to see them all out of work! I have to supply ratings to submit this so I would like to say that my rating is zero in all areas and it is laughable that this company could expect anything more than this!!!

Legalised robbery!

They towed my car last week - I had a valid ticket on my dashboard, and like others had my car allegedly clamped and towed within 5 minutes. These people are disgusting! They told me if I couldn't pay I would have to sign my car over to them and they would charge me £40 per day for storage until they could sell it. If at auction they didn't recover all their costs, then they would send the bailiffs round to my house... How is this legal? I had a valid ticket and these thieves took my car and then demanded a ransom for it. Disgusting!

These people ae truly thieves, but why are the authorities not getting involved. Something is very wrong here. The police, the politicians all are quite about it, something really smells bad here.

My daughter had a valid ticket but they still towed the car away, a pregnant woman arrived. To find the same had happened to her, it seems that an employee had been watching to identify more vulnerable people to target. Why is this company still in business?

Something needs to be done about this company. I had a valid ticket but it had fallen off the window onto the dashboard through no fault of mine but they said they couldn't read it. They charged me £430.00 to get the car back. People like this should be behind bars.

They towed my car away in the evening - there was no need to it wasn't obstructing anything. I didn't see the sign when I parked - ironically somone was parked in front of it!!. I understand the need to police parking - but why is it done by crooks? - £430 to get car back - they even charged another days storage even though they were closed when it was towed so I couldn't get it back. If you've been done by them please join the facebook group mid-way parks clampers, a bunch of king bankers.

I completely agee with george. Im a new road user and was not aware of the parking permits where I had parked. I was only gone about 45 minutes and my car has been towed. They are demandng £400 and I never even had a warning of a clamp or fine. What is a point to clamping and towing a car at the same time....

My pregnant daughter in law had her car taken by midway parks on 7.9.10, i went with her to pick up her car and were faced with very agressive and threatening men who were very abusive when we asked to check for damage on the car before we paid them, we were scared so we phoned the police, the police refused to attend, something needs to be done about these animals, they took my daughter in laws car even though there was a valid parking ticket on the dash which was still in the car when we collected it, these people are scum, women should not collect their car from these people alone

There is a clause for a ticket, for £90 which has to be applied before a car is towed. This never happened before my car was clamped talk less of being towed with notice letf. I though a car has to be clamped and if the owner does not come for it before it is removed. Why would you clamp a car a tow it at the same time. Are you a money making factory or there to deter illegal parking. The company needs serious investigation and if possible their SIA badge revoked.
