We cover all aspects of both commercial and residential locksmith work: Lockouts, Lock Opening, Lock Fitting, Replacement Locks, UPVC Locks, UPVC Door Mechanisms, Upgrading Locks to Insurance Specifications. Arden Locksmiths specialise in "Non-Destructive Entry". That is the opening of doors/locks without drilling. Therefore saving the customer the cost of new locks/keys when they are locked out. WHAT TO ASK A LOCKSMITH. WILL YOU HAVE TO DRILL THE LOCK? Locks DO NOT HAVE TO BE DRILLED to be opened. If a BS3621 lock is drilled (even with a very small hole) it loses its insurance rating. The only time a lock should be drilled is if it is faulty or broken. IF THE LOCK IS DRILLED, WHO WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR A NEW ONE? Some locksmiths will purposely drill your lock so you have to buy a new one off them. They can then make more money, even though the lock you had was working perfectly well. If your lock is working ok, the keys are inside the house and we, Arden Locksmiths, drill it to gain entry, we will replace it FREE OF CHARGE. DO YOU CARRY REPLACEMENT LOCKS? All good locksmiths will carry replacement locks. Some unscrupulous locksmiths purposefully don?t carry any stock, so that they can charge you more time for going to fetch the lock. We carry most of the popular locks on the market today as standard.
