I walked into the Forever Lace shop on saturday last week, and did not have an appointment, Lorraine was very busy dealing with customers who had booked in and she was under pressure as her staff were off ill, but never the less, she was polite and very enthusiastic to help. I said that I would return at a later date, when she was not so busy, but as I am getting married in May she said no give me 10 minutes and I'll sort you out. She made myself and someone else a cup of tea, without having one herself and went about her business. I later found a dress I loved, only problem it was 4 sizes too small, not a problem she said, i'll phone the supplier on monday and let you know what we can do, in a short time scale. Well she phoned me monday and told me the good news, i had even better news this morning as she phoned me and told me my wedding dress had arrived at her shop. So how is that for business. I am so happy with the whole situation and could not be happier in the way Lorraine dealt with me. She was totally honest and made me feel very comfortable and I am not the smallest of ladies about. So if your looking for service with a smile, professionalism and help all the way, then dont believe all you read and get into this most beautifull shop. Especially you larger ladies like me. Thank you Lorraine.

If you want my advice, never EVER use this wedding dress shop!! My fiancée bought her dress (paid in full) at the ‘Forever Lace’ stall at the NEC a year before the wedding. When we chased the shop for a fitting date a couple of months before the wedding we were told that the fitting is not needed until the month before. The month before arrives and again we are forced to call and chase the appointment, the shop tells us that the dress is not due in until the following week (3 weeks before the wedding) but we are assured that this is plenty of time. Two weeks before the wedding arrives and my fiancée turns up to the shop for the fitting and is told the dress is still not in. She is assured that the dress has been despatched from the designers warehouse and that it will be in on Tuesday, only one problem she says, “I’m off on holiday, come in next Saturday” assuring us again that the Saturday before the wedding should be ok time wise. We demand we are given a mobile number to call to check if the delivery was made on Tuesday just so that we can have some peace of mind. I call this number on Tuesday and Wednesday and leave voice mails, no returned calls and then phone is switched off. The shop is closed and we have no way of contacting anyone from the shop!! As you can imagine we are very very worried at this point, we are approaching our last weekend before the wedding and we have no idea what’s going on with the dress. I call the designer to try and locate the courier so that I can intercept it maybe, at least then we would have the dress and alterations could go to another shop. The designer assures me that the dress is still in the warehouse and will not be shipped out to Forever Lace. She could not discuss why but it was clear “forever lace” and the designer were in some sort of dispute! I ended up having to ask another shop to order the dress that was waiting for us in the warehouse and pay again in full. (You see we paid forever lace and they hadn’t paid the designer, so it was understandable why they wouldn’t send it out to them). What I don’t understand is why, if the shop was in a dispute did she not come to us and explain that we would be better off looking elsewhere, at least that way we would have plenty of time. And not be this stressed a week before the wedding. When confronting her for our money back she didn’t seem to care what she had put us in and was more interested in continuing to lie and make excuses!! Please note that if I hadn’t called the designer then we would be getting married without the dress, this was only sorted out as I called the designer on the off chance they could help shine some light on the situation. So my suggestion to you is, if you’ve placed an order with “Forever Lace” and you have plenty of time to cancel, look elsewhere ASAP! If you were thinking of getting your dress from here I would suggest you think again.
