So long as you are dressed to impress, anyone can enjoy this bar. It's very spacious with high ceilings, but can (and does) get very busy at the weekend, due to it's high proportion of young professionals in its clientelle. There ARE a range of ages in attendance, but it is predominantly late 20's-30's. It's certainly not cheap, but there is a good range of cocktails to make up for it, and a selection of wines too.If you go during the week, there is certainly less of a crowd so can be more enjoyable if you want a private drink with a few friends after work.

Ok this bar has a quality feel, serving a lot of ales from Germany, Czech beer and similar. However, I think you can class this place as a wine bar too. It’s busy early on, and patrons vacate towards midnight.Honestly, it’s not much of a pulling bar, even when full, as there are many couples and groups here. The Pitcher over the road is better for singles.Music is low, but the biggest problem here has always been service. It’s really hard sometimes to be served.Rose wine is the usual £13 a bottle but vodka or Redbull and coke is very expensive.A Quality bar, but not my favourite.

  • 4 Civilised place to drink with friends

All Bar One is far from a cheap place to go, so if you're expecting student friendly prices, this place is not for you.It is however, a rather nice place to go, of an evening with a small group of friends. It is architecturally attractive and boasts a good selection of wines. It is a smart and civilised place to drink. The clientèle are generally young business people, and it can get quite busy in the evenings, after people have finished work... though it quietens down by about 11pm. Weekend nights are far busier.Certainly worth a visit if you fancy an calm evening out.
