The Shakespeare is a traditional pub that serves a variety of pub meals throughout the day. They also have a pool table, fruit machines, 2 rooms and a beer garden.
On a recent trip to Birmingham (26/08/08), we were looking for a nice place to eat, we wanted something that wasn't junk food, we wandered around the centre for a while, then we came across this rather nice pub.The food was cooked very well, the only complaint was that my Mums jacket potato skin was overcooked. The staff were very friendly, the prices were what you'd expect from a pub. We didn't look at the toilets when we were there, but from the cleanliness of the whole of the pub that we did see, I reckon the toilets would be fine too.Children are allowed in there, but only to eat I think. The coke didn't taste particularly nice but that's because it was the sort that comes from a tap rather than a bottle. We were left alone to eat our dinners in peace. All in all it was a lovely experience, I'd certainly go there again and I'd recommend it to anyone.
